How is Breast Fat Grafting Performed?
With a breast fat grafting procedure, local anesthesia with sedation is used to relax the patient. Fat is harvested from an area of the body where there is excess fat, typically the stomach, hips, thighs or buttocks via liposuction. It is treated then injected into the breasts to make them larger, fuller and rounder. Breast fat grafting may enlarge the breasts one to two sizes and maintain a natural look.
The procedure takes one to two hours after which the breasts are wrapped in a protective dressing for extra support. At the same time, the area where the liposuction was performed is wrapped in a compression garment.

How Long is the Recovery from Breast Fat Grafting?
Most recoveries from breast fat grafting take up to two weeks. Patients may be able to return to work one week after the procedure if it is light work with no heavy lifting. There may be some bruising and swelling in the areas where the procedure is performed, but it diminishes as the body heals. Normal activities may be resumed within a few weeks.
When Will I See the Results from Breast Fat Grafting?
The results from breast fat grafting are immediate and get better as the healing process takes place. There is little to no scarring with this procedure, and it provides very natural looking results.
